🕹️ What Is Amanda the Adventurer?

Amanda the Adventurer looks like a lost children’s cartoon and turns into something much darker. You are clearing out your late aunt’s attic when you find a box of VHS tapes, and every tape you play puts you in front of Amanda and her friend Wooly — who slowly work out that someone is watching them back.

It is a found-footage horror game built around watching and answering. Amanda asks you questions through the screen, and what you type back changes what the next tape shows. The scares come from the writing rather than from jump cuts, which is why the game stuck with people long after the first playthrough.

📼 How to Play

1. Pick a tape from the pile on the left and put it into the TV.
2. Watch the episode through — the answers you need are in the cartoon itself.
3. When Amanda asks a question, type your answer on the drawing board and confirm it.
4. Search the attic between tapes; objects appear as you unlock more of the story.

🎮 Controls

• Mouse: look around the attic, click to pick things up and to use the VCR
• Keyboard: type your answers when Amanda asks a question
• Esc: pause and settings

💡 Tips

• Answer honestly the first time through; the game is more interesting when it reacts to you rather than to the “right” answer.
• Rewind and rewatch — tapes change once you have found certain objects.
• Keep the sound on. A lot of what the game is doing only registers through the audio.
